Sumaya Sadurni Carrasco, a Spanish journalist with Agence France Presse (AFP), and her driver Thomas Mugisha, have died in an accident along the Kampala-Gulu Highway.
Carrasco, 33, and Mugisha, 42, perished at Chopelwo Valley in Kiryandongo District after a head-on collision between a Fuso truck Registration Number UAL 192U and a Toyota Rav4 UAS 597U on the night of March 07.
The duo died on spot at about 8:30pm, and their bodies were taken to Kiryandongo Hospital for postmortem examinations.
