R.I.P: Ambassador Kabonero's 24-Year-Old Son Robert 'Bobby' Kabonero Dead

Robert ‘Bobby’ Kabonero

Robert ‘Bobby’ Kabonero, a son of Ambassador Richard and Grace Kabonero, has died, the family has announced.

Born on July 31, 2000, Robert ‘Bobby’ Kabonero was aged 24. He was was the youngest child of Ambassador Richard and Grace Kabonero.

The Kabonero family said they were “heartbroken” to announce the death of Robert ‘Bobby’ Kabonero which happened on Friday, May 09, 2025.

The family is expected to announce the funeral program for the late Robert ‘Bobby’ Kabonero soon, according to an announcement released confirming the death of the 24-year-old member of the family.

Reports indicate that Robert ‘Bobby’ Kabonero had been in a hospital in the Kenyan capital Nairobi receiving treatment for an illness for about three months.

Before he was hospitalized, Robert ‘Bobby’ Kabonero had started his internship at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kampala and seemed to be on a path to the diplomatic field, just like his father Richard Kabonero.

It was not clear what was ailing and finally ended the life of Robert ‘Bobby’ Kabonero.

Some social media reports have even gone as far as alleging that Robert ‘Bobby’ Kabonero reportedly shot himself at their home in Luzira.

The reports went on to claim that Robert ‘Bobby’ Kabonero used his father’s firearm to shoot at himself and that that he succumbed to gunshot wounds.

The reports remain unconfirmed as the family is yet to speak out on them or even offer details on the cause of death of their son. They are also under no obligation to do so.

Elsewhere, a university student was found dead in a hostel compound. (See Details Here).
