Officials from assessment body Uganda National Examinations Board (Uneb) are expected to brief first lady and Minister of Education and Sports Janet Museveni on PLE 2024 results.

According to the Ministry of Education and Sports, Uneb officials will brief the education minister and first lady in the afternoon of January 21, 2025 in the capital Kampala.
“UNEB will brief the First Lady and Minister of Education and Sports on the release of the PLE 2024 Examination results tomorrow, Tuesday, 21st January 2025, at State House Nakasero at 2:30 pm,” the ministry announced.
The Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) 2024 results will most likely be released this week, according to trends The Pearl Times has been observing over the years. “The release date will be confirmed thereafter,” the education ministry said.
Figures released by Uneb last year indicated that up to 798,763 candidates wrote their PLE papers – English, Mathematics, Integrated Science and Social Studies in November last year. Of these, 419,357 were females while 379,414 were males.
These are the candidates who have been anxiously waiting for assessment body Uganda National Examinations Board to release the results from the papers they sat months ago.
It now looks like those results will be released this week after the Uneb officials have briefed Minister Janet Museveni on the performance in subjects compared to previous sittings.
