State Minister for National Guidance, Godfrey Kabbyanga, has launched Tayari FM Radio, 94.0 FM — a radio station dedicated to driving community development in Western Uganda.

This radio station is owned by the Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Rt Hon Thomas Tayebwa, who is also the Member of Parliament for Ruhinda North Constituency.

At the launch, Tayebwa said, “We established this radio station through the ‘Taru Foundation,’ investing in top-quality equipment to ensure it becomes one of the best stations in the region.”

Tayebwa said the main goal of opening the station is to educate and empower people.

“I encourage local district officials to use this platform to raise awareness about government programs in education, agriculture, health, and other key sectors,” he added.

Thomas Tayebwa has been on a mission to transform Mitooma District. From building hospitals, schools and churches, to power and water connections, his constituency has been on a clear path to development.

Last year, he brought powerful politicians led by President Museveni, and businessmen like Sudhir Ruparelia to the launch of a mega church, a project that made some question the source of the billions injected in the structure. Thomas Tayebwa explained how he, working with friends, had managed to raise funds for God’s temple. (See Details Here and There)

For a man who once vended pancakes at school for a commission, Tayebwa is a businessman. He has severally had to tell off those who think that he uses Parliament money for his clothing and watches, as well as on allegations that he used Parliament to fly his family to watch his favorite Premier League team, Manchester United, play.
