NTV Uganda Bans Alien Skin, Pallaso Music

Leading television station NTV Uganda says the presenters of is NTV The Beat show have taken a decision to stop playing songs by musicians Alien Skin and Pallaso over their chaotic altercations, involving gangs.

Chaos by gangs from Fangone Forest which is headed by Alien Skin, and those subscribing to Pallaso have caused disruptions at two major shows in recent days.

NTV Uganda’s ban of music by Alien Skin and Pallaso is indefinite. “… as a show dedicated to entertaining and uplifting the public through transformative content, we will not be playing Pallaso’s or Alien Skin’s music until further notice,” the station said of the decision by The Beat show.

“This decision comes in response to the chaos that erupted during last year’s Enkuuka.”

The Beat Show host Sammy Wetala said the media needed to send a clear message to musicians like Alien Skin and Pallaso.

“Media stations, event promoters, and the general public need to take a stand by distancing themselves from musicians who cause chaos at events,” said Wetala.

“This will send a strong message that such behavior has consequences and encourage them to reconsider their actions.”

Meanwhile, police has sent a clear warning to Alien Skin, Pallaso and other singers like them, making it clear that they will pay for their sins. Minister Balaam Barugahara has announced tough measures to teach musicians like Alien Skin and Pallaso a lesson in wake of chaos by rival gangs. (See Details Here and There).
