Ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) vice chairman for Buganda Godfrey Kiwanda Ssuubi has been involved in a road accident. Kiwanda, who calls himself NRM’s Number Four, was travelling along Mityana Road when the accident happened.
Kiwanda was in his new orange Toyota Hilux when the vehicle collided with a salon car. Both vehicles were badly damaged.
Kiwanda, a former minister for tourism, came out of his vehicle alive. He blamed the driver of the salon car as having led to the accident.
The former minister, famous for the controversy around miss curvy competitions, was filmed sharing with locals about what happened.
The vehicles were pictured damaged due to the collision.
Hundreds of people are killed in road accidents in Uganda every month, with crashes attributed to factors such as over speeding, drug influence and dangerous mechanical conditions of vehicles.
