President Paul Kagame
Rwandan president Paul Kagame has spoken out on his health after rumors on his health condition.
A social media statement had claimed that President Kagame had been battling for his life.
The Rwandan presidency had reacted by sharing photos of Kagame meeting guests, including a former Nigerian president.
Now, Kagame has addressed the reports on his health, reminding Rwandans and all who care about the country’s affairs that he should not be expected to live forever.
Kagame said it was understandable that health problems for politicians like him might originate from managing their countries’ affairs.
“Ordinarily, how do all of you, me and others, how do people want to account for people’s personal health? Is there an exception, by the way, in this world?” asked Kagame during the Rwanda’s Liberation (Kwibohora) Day.
“Well, first of all, there is nobody who lives forever. Secondly, even for anybody’s life, whether short or long, you have to manage all these issues as human beings.
Well, but when it comes to politics, maybe this is not taken into account. In fact, some of my personal health problems might originate from managing you people. Rest assured, it is me sitting here with you.”
It should be remembered that the Rwandan army had to come out to speak about Kagame’s health condition. (See Details Here, There and Over There).
