A man has alleged that the ‘convoy’ of a minister in President Museveni’s government knocked his father and another person in the northern Uganda city of Gulu. The minister says his wife has no convoy, and says the matter is in the hands of Uganda Police Force (UPF) now.
A one Simon Peter Komakech alleges that while in Gulu on May 19, 2025, at about midday, an incident “that almost took the life of my dad due to reckless driving of one of your UPDF drivers attached to madam” happened.
Komakech had been using social media to reach Norbert Mao, the Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs, over the matter, in vain.
But Komakech did not give up. On May 25, he reminded Mao: “Your wife’s convoy knocked my Dad due to their reckless driving and ran away on 19th May Monday at 2pm in Gulu. Is that justice as Minister of justice?”
In response, Mao urged Komakech to speak the truth about the matter. He insisted his wife Beatrice Nambi had no convoy and that she did not run away as Komakech alleged.
“I’m sorry about that unfortunate accident. I was briefed about it. When there’s a problem let’s solve it on the basis of truth. Blame games and exaggerations are unhelpful,” noted Mao.
“Nobody ran away. And it was one car. No convoy. The matter is in the hands of police. Don’t guilt bait me.”
It should be remembered that Norbert Mao wedded Beatrice Nambi against all noise and objections from “haters,” as reported Here.
Meanwhile, a man was killed at a Museveni minister’s home. (See Details Here).
