First son Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba has revealed that one of the issues agreed between him and President Paul Kagame was that the UPDF should never attack Rwanda.
In recent months, Kainerugaba and his ‘uncle’ Kagame have met twice in Rwanda.
The first meeting between Kainerugaba and Kagame led to the reopening of the Katuna border after almost three years. (Read Story Here).

Now, Muhoozi has revealed that during the first meeting, he promised Kagame that Uganda would never attack Rwanda and that officers who fight Kigali will be fired.
“The first day I reconnected with my uncle three months ago, I promised him a number of things,” said the first son.
“First of all, as Commander Land Forces, UPDF, my army would never attack Rwanda. Secondly, no security official of Uganda who fights Rwanda would retain his job.”
