Muhoozi Confesses Jesus

Muhoozi Confesses Jesus

His posts on microblogging platform X, formerly Twitter, might not make some happy but first son and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) has kept making his confessions of Jesus Christ on social media.

No doubt Muhoozi comes from a religious family – his grandmother Esiteeri Kokundeka was a devout bornagain Christian, his mother Janet Museveni is a practicing Christian and his sister Patience Rwabwogo is a pastor – but some have always suggested he is not as committed to faith.

But in recent years, Muhoozi has once in a while posted about his belief in and adoration of Jesus Christ. Here are some of the recent posts in which Muhoozi confessed Christ or referred to him:

On his friend Mawanda and his woes, Muhoozi wrote: “Those who ask me about Michael Mawanda? He is my friend. I do not abandon my friends when they are in need. That has never been my character. Even our Lord Jesus Christ had friends. Lazarus was his friend, whom Christ resurrected! Mawanda is in hell but he will surely live again!”

On Christ being turning him into an instrument for the gospel, he wrote: “When I joined Twitter/X a decade ago all I wanted to do was have fun and laugh with the few friends I have. But the GREAT ENGINE of my life, My God Jesus Christ, turned it into an instrument of His gospel. A man plans his way but the Lord directs his path. I know with 1 million followers, our great God has amassed, He has not even started yet. The whole world shall fear Him and know that He lives in Uganda. No one in heaven or earth shall ever, ever threaten Uganda! I look forward to the next 10 million followers He brings.”

On worshipping God, he said If creation still obeys you so will I…If the stars were made to worship so will I…If the mountains bow in reverence so will I…If the oceans roar Your greatness so will I. For if everything exists to lift you high so will I…

On his ideology, he cited the Apostle’s Creed: “I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; He descended into hell; on the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from there He will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Christian Church, the communion of Saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and life everlasting.”
