Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) and Senior Presidential Advisor for Special Operations (SPA-SO), General Muhoozi Kainerugaba has appointed Brig Gen Jackson Pande Kajuba the new commander of the UPDF Armored Division in Masaka.
Brig Gen Jackson Pande Kajuba replaces Major General Deus Sande (RIP) who passed away yesterday after suffering severe breathing complications.
Brig Gen Pande Kajuba has been serving as the Deputy Commander of the UPDF Armoured Division under Major General Deus Sande.
According to acting defence and UPDF spokesperson Col Chris Magezi, Muhoozi has promoted Col Wilson Bagonza Rwakanara from the Special Forces Command (SFC) to the rank of Brigadier General.
Muhoozi then appointed now Brig Gen Wilson Bagonza Rwakanara the Deputy Commander of the UPDF Armoured Division.
“The appointments take immediate effect,” added Col Magezi.
“We congratulate the General officers on the new appointments and wish them good luck in the execution of their duties.
