
The Education Service Commission (ESC) has released the shortlist of candidates selected for oral interviews for the posts of Education Officer (EO), Assistant Education Officer (AEO) and Non-Teaching Staff in government schools across the Busoga region.
The interviews are part of the commission’s ongoing recruitment exercise under Addendum to Advert No. 3/2025 and will be conducted at Jinja Senior Secondary School in Jinja City.

Announcing the exercise, the commission secretary Asuman Lukwago noted that the oral interviews will take place from June 29 to July 3, 2026.
According to the notice, all interviews will be held at Jinja Senior Secondary School and will begin at 8 a.m. each day.
The recruitment exercise targets positions in government UGIFT seed schools schools across Busoga and is intended to strengthen staffing levels in the education sector.
In its notice, the commission said the released shortlist contains candidates who successfully met the requirements following the advertisement of the positions.
Candidates have been advised to carefully review all instructions accompanying the shortlist before appearing for interviews.
The shortlists cover schools across the region, including Wanyange Seed Secondary School, Kasambira Seed Secondary School, Idudi Seed Secondary School, Gumpi Seed Secondary School and Irundu Seed Secondary School.

The Education Service Commission is mandated under the Constitution to recruit and manage personnel in Uganda’s education service.
In recent years, the commission has overseen large-scale recruitment drives aimed at addressing staffing gaps in newly established government schools and expanding access to quality education.
Successful candidates from the oral interview stage will proceed to the final phases of recruitment, including appointment and deployment, subject to verification of academic credentials and other statutory requirements.
