Up to 208 Ugandans shortlisted for jobs as secondary school headteachers, principal inspectors, principal lecturers and principal instructors have done their competence tests at Kololo Secondary School in the capital Kampala.
Administered by the Education Service Commission (ESC) on Friday, February 02, 2024, the competence tests saw five prospective principal lecturers, two prospective principal instructors, 19 potential principal inspectors and 182 prospective secondary school headteachers compete for the government payroll jobs.
The ESC advertised the jobs on November 27, 2023, and December 11, 2023.
Successful principal inspectors will work under the Directorate of Education Standard (DES) while principal lecturers will work under the National Instructors College Abilonino (NIC).
Successful principal instructors will teach at Jinja Vocational Training Institute (JVTI) and Nakawa Vocational Training Institute (NVTI).
