LIST: See Names of Teachers and Non-Teaching Staff Confirmed on Government Payroll for Buganda Seed Schools 

The Education Service Commission (ESC), under Janet Museveni’s Ministry of Education and Sports, has released the long-awaited interview results for candidates who successfully secured appointments to government-funded UGIFT Seed Secondary Schools in Uganda’s Central Region (Buganda). 

In a notice dated July 23, 2026, the Commission announced that the results relate to candidates who attended interviews held between June 22 and June 26, 2026 under External Advert No. 3/2025 and its addendum for Cluster Two of the Uganda Intergovernmental Fiscal Transfers (UGIFT) Programme.

“The Secretary, Education Service Commission hereby informs candidates who sat for interviews between 22nd – 26th June 2026 in respect of External Advert No. 3/2025 and Addendum to External Advert No. 3/2025 for the Uganda Intergovernmental Fiscal Transfers Program (UGIFT) Seed Secondary Schools under Cluster 2 (Central Region), that results are hereby released,” the notice states.

Successful candidates have been directed to collect their appointment letters in person from the Education Service Commission Registry at Farmers House on Parliamentary Avenue in Kampala on Thursday, July 30, 2026.

“Appointed personnel should pick their notification letters in person from the Education Service Commission Registry on First Floor, Room 111, Farmers House at Parliamentary Avenue on Thursday 30th July, 2026. Please come along with your original identification card,” the Commission said.

The Commission also made it clear that candidates whose names are missing from the published lists were not successful.

“Those whose names don’t appear on the lists should consider themselves unsuccessful,” the notice signed by Kaaya Mohammed for the Secretary, Education Service Commission reads.

The appointments cover seven newly established government seed secondary schools in Kassanda, Kayunga, Mityana, Nakaseke and Ssembabule districts. Each school has received appointments for Education Officers, Assistant Education Officers and non-teaching personnel including accountants, laboratory assistants, library assistants, nurses and stenographer secretaries.

Schools covered in the Central Region appointments are: Kyakiddu Seed Secondary School – Kassanda District, Kiganda Seed Secondary School – Kassanda District, Mataba Seed Secondary School – Kayunga District, Seeta C.O.U Seed Secondary School – Mityana District, St. Joseph Secondary School, Kasambya – Nakaseke District, Kalubbubu Seed Secondary School – Ssembabule District, and Lugusulu Seed Secondary School – Ssembabule District.

The Commission published the full names of all successful candidates appointed to the various teaching and non-teaching positions for each of the seven schools.

The complete lists include appointments for Education Officers and Assistant Education Officers in subjects including Agriculture, Biology, Chemistry, English, Mathematics, Physics, ICT, History, Geography, Economics, Fine Art, Physical Education, Religious Studies, Luganda, Kiswahili and Business-related disciplines.

There are also non-teaching staff comprising Senior Assistant Accountants, Stenographer Secretaries, Enrolled Nurses, Laboratory Assistants and Library Assistants.

The appointments form part of the government’s continued expansion of the UGIFT Seed Secondary School programme, which aims to improve access to secondary education by establishing well-staffed government schools in underserved sub-counties across Uganda.
