LIST: See Names of Teachers and Non-Teaching Staff Confirmed on Government Payroll for Busoga Seed Schools

The Ministry of Education and Sports, through the Education Service Commission (ESC), has released the long-awaited interview results for teachers and non-teaching staff appointed to government-funded seed secondary schools in Busoga under the Uganda Intergovernmental Fiscal Transfers Program (UGIFT), confirming successful candidates who will join the public service payroll.

In a notice dated July 23, 2026, the Commission announced the release of results for Cluster 5 (Busoga Region) following interviews conducted between June 29 and July 3, 2026.

“The Secretary, Education Service Commission hereby informs candidates who sat for interviews between 29th June – 3rd July 2026 in respect of External Advert No. 3/2025 and Addendum to External Advert No. 3/2025 for the Uganda Intergovernmental Fiscal Transfers Program (UGIFT) Seed Secondary Schools for Cluster 5 (Busoga Region), that results are hereby released,” announced acting ESC secretary Mohammed Kaaya.

The successful candidates include education officers, assistant education officers and non-teaching personnel who have been appointed to five newly established government seed secondary schools across the Busoga sub-region.
According to the Commission, all successful applicants must personally collect their appointment documents from its headquarters in Kampala.

“Appointed personnel should pick their notification letters in person from the Education Service Commission Registry on First Floor, Room 111, Farmers House at Parliamentary Avenue on Friday 31st July, 2026,” the notice states.

The Commission further instructed successful applicants to report with proof of identity.

“Please come along with your original identification card,” it said.

The appointments cover the following schools: Idudi Seed Secondary School – Bugweri District
Gumpi Seed Secondary School – Buyende District, Irundu Seed Secondary School – Buyende District, Wanyange Seed Secondary School – Jinja City, and Kasambira Seed Secondary School – Kamuli District.

The Commission also issued a warning to applicants whose names do not appear on the published lists.

“Those whose names don’t appear on the lists should consider themselves unsuccessful,” the notice reads.

The published lists contain dozens of newly appointed teachers in subjects including Mathematics, English, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, ICT, History, Geography, Agriculture, Religious Studies, Fine Art, Physical Education, Economics and Entrepreneurship, alongside assistant education officers.

Also confirmed are non-teaching staff including Senior Assistant Accountants, Stenographer Secretaries, Enrolled Nurses, Laboratory Assistants and Library Assistants, who will support the day-to-day running of the five schools.

The appointments form part of government’s continued rollout of seed secondary schools under the UGIFT programme aimed at expanding access to secondary education by ensuring every sub-county has a government secondary school staffed with qualified personnel.
