
The list with names of over 1300 Ugandans who have landed jobs at Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) has been released. The list has 1,312 recruits who were successful from a nationwide recruitment exercise for Wildlife Rangers conducted across various conservation areas.
UWA has pinned the lists of selected candidates on the noticeboards at the respective conservation areas where candidates were interviewed.

The selected candidates will now be trained in Masindi District. Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) has also announced the reporting date.
The wildlife agency has warned that those who fail to turn up for the training will lose their job offers.
“he Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) is pleased to announce the successful candidates who have been selected for the position of Ranger following the recently concluded recruitment process. The chosen recruits are required to report for training starting on May 17, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Kabalega Secondary School in Masindi District,” UWA said in a statement.
“Failure to report at the specified date and time will be considered as forfeiting the opportunity. UWA congratulates the 1,312 recruits and welcomes them to the next stage of preparation for their service in wildlife conservation.”
Each recruit has been advised to take an original National Identity Card, two mattresses, a pair of bed sheets, sandals and sports shoes, a bucket, a green or black round-neck T-shirt, a torch, and a backpack for personal belongings.
