The Ministry of Education and Sports, through the Education Service Commission (ESC) has released the list with names of 550 teachers who have been confirmed for government payroll jobs in secondary schools across the country.
The list also includes non-teaching staff who were confirmed for government payroll jobs in secondary schools to support teaching, learning and administration of the education institutions.
Also on the list are names of people who have been granted study leave to enable them further their studies.
The Education Service Commission has also retired some teachers on medical grounds.
“The Secretary, Education Service Commission, informs Teaching and Non-Teaching Personnel whose names appear in the lists attached that they have been Confirmed in Service, Granted Study Leave and Retired on Medical Grounds,” wrote Mohammed Kaaya, acting secretary to the commission.
“The concerned personnel are requested to contact the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education and Sports for issuance of relevant letters.”
