Uganda’s Ministry of Education and Sports, through the Education Service Commission (ESC), has hired up to 300 applicants for teaching jobs at various institutions, as well as for other employment offers in the several departments of the ministry.
Those confirmed include assistant instructors, senior instructors, instructors, lecturers, and senior lecturers, for the Vocational Training Institute (VTI), the Uganda Technical College (UTC), Uganda Petroleum Institute Kigumba (UPIK), and the Technical Vocational Education and Training Operations and Management (TVET O&M), according to documents seen by The Pearl Times.
“The secretary, Education Service Commission informs candidates who sat for interviews from 30th September – 4th November, 2024 in respect to the Internal and External Adverts No.1/2024, for the various departments in the Ministry of Education and Sports, that the results for the successful candidates have been released,” said Mohammed Kaaya, the acting ESC secretary.
“Those whose names do not appear should consider themselves unsuccessful. Successful Candidates should pick their Notification Letters from the Education Service Commission registry on first floor, room 111, Farmers House at Parliamentary Avenue…”
All personnel appointed under Vocational Training Institutions (VTIs) as principals, deputy principals, senior instructors, instructors, assistant instructors and workshop technicians will pick their notification letters on Tuesday, December 10, 2024: starting at 09:00am.
All personnel appointed in the Special Needs Department (SNE) Instructional Materials Unit Department (IMU), Guidance and Counselling Department, Technical, Vocational Education and Training, Operation and Management Department will pick their notification letters on Wednesday December 11, 2024 starting at 09:00am.
Also picking their letters on the same date are personnel for Uganda Technical Colleges, Uganda Cooperative Colleges, Uganda Colleges of Commerce, as well as Uganda Petroleum Institute, Kigumba (UPIK) under the University Education and training department.
