LIST: Names of Candidates Who Have Received Rulings to NRM Primaries Petitions (First Batch)

NRM Election Disputes Tribunal Releases First Batch of Rulings

The NRM Election Disputes Tribunal has released the first batch of rulings from election petitions challenging results of last month’s NRM primaries.

Up to 426 petitions were filed challenging the results of the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) parliamentary primary elections held on July 17, 2025.

Hearing of petitions began on July 29, 2025, and determination for the first batch of 46 petitions has been concluded.

NRM Election Disputes Tribunal chairperson John Musiime described the release of the first batch of rulings as one that “marks  a  major  milestone  in  the  work  of  the  tribunal.”

“In  our  earlier  statement,  we pledged transparency, fairness, and efficiency in handling these matters. Today’s release is a fulfilment of that pledge,” noted Musiime.

“Each was petition  is adjudicated after full consideration of  the  evidence and submissions of the parties, guided by the NRM Election Regulations, applicable law, and principles of natural justice.”

Musiime and his tribunal have now invited parties and (or) advocates to the affected to collect their rulings from the Tribunal Registry at Plot 30, Kyadondo Road.

“Where valid email  addresses  were  provided,  soft  copies  shall  be  transmitted accordingly,” he added. “We remain committed to concluding the Tribunal’s mandate with the same integrity and fairness that has defined our work thus far.”

Musiime further noted that more rulings  “will  continue  to  be  released  on  a  rolling  basis  over  the coming days.”
