Rwanda’s President Paul Kagame has arrived in Uganda for his first visit in four years.
President Kagame arrived at the Entebbe International Airport at about 3pm and was received by security minister Maj Gen Jim Muhwezi and first son and commander land forces Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba.
Kagame is expected to attend a dinner organized to celebrate the 48th birthday of first son Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba at State House Entebbe.
Kampala and Kigali seem to be on the right path for the restoration of relations.
A few months ago, Kigali reopened the Katuna/Gatuna border point after three years of closure.
At the heart of the restoration of relations — at least of on the face of it — is Lt Gen Kainerugaba, president Museveni’s son. (Read Story Here).
