KAGADI KILLINGS: Seven People Murdered by Cult Believers

At least seven people have been confirmed to have been killed by suspected cult believers in Kagadi District.

The attack happened at around 8:30 PM on October 29, 2024 in Muzizi -A village, Kyaterekera sub county, Kagadi District, according to Maj Bilal Katamba, the Public Information Officer of the Mountain Division and Operation Shuuja.

Maj Katamba did not give details of the suspected cult but he noted that its believers killed residents, including their family members.

“Preliminary information indicates that members of a new cult whose name is yet to be established descended on people, most of whom are their family members and cut them using sharp objects leading to their death and others injured,” said Maj Katamba.

“The UPDF , police, ISO are already on the ground hunting for the culprits as investigations are on going to establish more details about the cult and the incident. The public will be fully updated on the progress of the hunt and the murder incident as more facts are established.”
