Buganda Kingdom monarch Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II has used his Easter message to rebuke elected leaders in Uganda.
The Kabaka Easter message which was issued on April 17, 2025, carries the king’s best wishes for the Easter season to his subjects and other Ugandans.

He also reminded the elected leaders of their responsibilities, suggesting how many have reneged on what they were supposed to do.
The Kabaka noted that whenever people get challenges, they run to their elected leaders expecting them to offer solutions.
He told the subjects and other Ugandans to remind their elected leaders that they were voted for to extend better services to the areas they represent.
As an example, the Kabaka expressed sadness that people die in flash floods in the capital Kampala whenever it rains.
“Something should be done about this issue,” the Kabaka directly addressed the leaders in charge of the capital city.

It should be remembered that a few weeks ago, scores, including children who were locked inside by their mother, died due to floods in Kampala. (See Details Here).
Meanwhile, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni gave his opinion on Kabaka’s and Buganda’s demand for Federo. (See Details and Watch Video Here).
