Ugandan singer Joseph Mayanja aka Jose Chameleone is expected to be flown to the US for better treatment, reports indicate. Jose Chameleone has been admitted at Nakasero Hospital since last week.
After his friend and socialite Juliet Zawedde visited him in hospital on December 16, 2024, it emerged that friends and family members of Jose Chameleone were mulling over the idea of flying him to the US for treatment.
It is said that Juliet Zawedde is expected to make a huge contribution to the costs of flying Jose Chameleone to the US as well as the hospital bill.
Zawedde is also said to have distanced herself from rumors that Jose Chameleone had defaulted his money and pretended to be sick so as to evade arrest and imprisonment for allegedly failing to pay back the money he borrowed.
She was yet to speak clearly on the issue of flying Jose Chameleone to the US, and on whether Nakasero Hospital had referred the patient to any particular facility outside Uganda.

Jose Chameleone’s son Abba Marcus Mayanja has revealed the disease his father is suffering from as he also defended his mother, saying she was not responsible for her husband’s sickness, as reported Here and There.
