IN HOT SOUP! More Trouble for Fearless Judiciary Driver Who Threatened to Kill His Big Boss & Bodyguard Over Shs235K Salary

When Stanley Kisambira recorded audios venting his frustration over his Shs235,000 salary, he definitely was aware that his fearlessness would come with consequences. And the Ugandan state has reacted and yet is more to come for the driver who has worked with one of the arms of his country’s government for a cool 15 years.

Kisambira, who began working with the judiciary in 2008, has been earning a paltry Shs235,000 on which he and his family have been surviving for these years. He is not alone: several government drivers hired by the Public Service Commission have to survive on this meagre amount in an economy where the cost of living has been going through the roof. But only Kisambira has decided to bell the cat.

In the audio, Kisambira said he was very stressed with his thankless job to the extent that he could not rule out the possibility of him ramming his boss’ vehicle into a truck to end the lives therein.

“I am a driver. I can ram into a stationery trailer, killing all occupants, including the judge and bodyguard,” Kisambira said in the audio.

After the audio went viral, Kampala Metropolitan Police has since arrested Kisambira and detained him at the Kampala Central Police Station. The frustrated driver is expected to be arraigned in court to answer charges related to the threats made in the audio and could lose his job for venting out his issue in ‘a wrong forum.’

“Within the judiciary, drivers have an association with established leadership, responsible for bringing forth their concerns to the administration. The leadership expresses not having received concerns from the driver [Kisambira],” Judiciary spokesperson Jamson Karemani told NTV.

Meanwhile, the judiciary has made it clear that the allowances of all its drivers have been increased to make sure that each driver earns more than Shs1m every month, a package that is higher than that of graduate secondary school arts teachers. (See Details Here).
