First son Muhoozi Kainerugaba warns against imperialists fuelling subversion

First son Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba has warned of the dangers of imperialists seeking to subvert the will of African people.

Lt Gen Kainerugaba is his father President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni’s senior advisor on special operations.

He is also the commandant of the Special Forces Command (SFC), an elite force charged with presidential security.

Kainerugaba has used a statement made by Mozambique liberation leader Samora Machel on imperialists’ evils in Vietnam.

“Anyone who thinks they can subvert the will or aspirations of the African people should listen to the words of our late hero Samora Machel who said in 1983…’The imperialists turned Vietnam into a research laboratory to test human resistance,” wrote Kainerugaba.

Western World imperialists, largely the US and EU, have in recent decades been known to promote regime changes to install puppets as a way of furthering their economic interests.

His statement comes days after Museveni blasted the US and EU as he took oath of office for a sixth successive elective five-year term.
