Kagame, Muhoozi, Janet and Museveni
President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni has described his son Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba as a gift to the struggle to liberate Uganda.
On April 24, Museveni hosted Rwanda’s President Paul Kagame, eminent leaders of the Government of Uganda, distinguished guests in their respective capacities, family, friends and relatives to a private dinner in honour of Lt Gen Kainerugaba. (Read Story Here).
In his remarks, Museveni described his son Kainerugaba as a gift during the early days of the struggle.
“Lt Gen Muhoozi was a gift to us in our young days of struggle. He was born on 24th April 1974 at Kurasini, Dar es Salam, Mama Janet was driven to the hospital by a Dutch Lady,” said Museveni.
“The following day, I rang Samora Machel to inform him of the news.”
The president also described his son as the earliest kadogo of the Resistance, only second to Julius Kategaya who took another path.
