First son Muhoozi Kainerugaba: I’ve Talked to Mummy Janet to help National Basketball Team

First son and Commander Land Forces (CLF) Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba has assured the Uganda National Men’s Basketball Team Silverbacks his mother, also education and sports minister Janet Museveni, will soon help them.

The Silverbacks could miss out on the FIBA African Cup of Nations final if funds to facilitate their camp aren’t secured.

The Afro-basketball tournament is expected to happen in Kigali Rwanda from August 24 to September 05, 2021.

The Silverbacks qualified for the FIBA African Cup of Nations final after defeating Morocco.

Now, Lt Gen Kainerugaba has assured the Silverbacks his mother Janet Musevenihas promised to help.

“We shall support our great basketball players!” said the first son.

“I have spoken to Honourable Janet Museveni on this issue. She has promised to help.”
