Vice President Jessica Alupo has unveiled her new ‘Munyankore’ husband after her first marriage with Capt Innocent Tukashaba failed.
On June 26, VP Alupo unveiled Peter Abeine to Christians attending a mass at Kitante Primary School.
As chief guest, Alupo arrived for the mass organized by the Archdiocese of Mbarara Development Association (Amda) and led by Rev Fr Sabastian Muthukattil, the Parish Priest of Nyabwina Parish in Sheema District, in company of Abeine.
Speaking in Runyankore, the woman from Teso unveiled her husband to those present, putting an end to rumors that had been spreading for months.
“Before I read my message, I would like to introduce my husband who is from Rucumu Village, to come here and greet the Christians before I continue,” Alupo invited Abeine.
“As you may all know, I have a village there called Rucumu and I am happy that some people here are from that village. Most importantly, Christians who animated this Mass are from Nyabwina Parish.”
After the mass at Kitante, Alupo proceeded to attend the fundraising drive for the Lubaga project where President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni contributed Shs30m, and his vice president Shs10m, to support self sustainability.
