Days after quitting his job at NTV Uganda where he was a Luganda news anchor, Frank Walusimbi has reportedly landed a juicier job with a UN agency.
At the end of last month, Walusimbi left NTV Uganda after serving at the station for about 15 years.
The former NTV Akawungeezi news anchor remained tightlipped about his next move, sparking off rumors that he was headed to BBS TV, the Buganda Kingdom television station.
Yet others speculated that Walusimbi would join Next Media Services’ subsidiary NBS TV, a direct competitor with NTV Uganda.
But Walusimbi seemed to have made up his mind to leave the Ugandan broadcast media, choosing to seek jobs in the communications field.
Reports now indicate that Walusimbi has landed a better job with the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR).
Walusimbi is expected to work as a communications officer with the UN agency.
