Public Health Advisory
Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) is a highly infectious and potentially deadly illness. The Ministry has urged Ugandans to remain vigilant and report any suspected symptoms immediately. Key symptoms include sudden high fever, severe headache and muscle pain, fatigue and weakness, vomiting, diarrhea, and unexplained bleeding.
Ebola prevention tips include avoiding direct contact with bodily fluids of infected persons, practicing regular handwashing with soap, avoiding touching dead bodies of suspected Ebola victims, and seeking immediate medical care if symptoms appear.
This is the latest development in the Ebola outbreak Uganda 2026. Further updates are expected as contact tracing and testing continue.
The Pearl Times understands that some of the cases have been linked to patients who had crossed from DR Congo where the Ebola outbreak is more severe.
Meanwhile, government has broken the silence on reports of plan to close schools and impose lockdown over Ebola. (SEE Details Here).
