Kampala, Uganda — The Ministry of Health has confirmed six new Ebola cases in Uganda, bringing the total number of confirmed Ebola cases to 15 as of Tuesday, June 2, 2026.
Health officials are now closely monitoring 668 contacts under follow-up as part of intensified contact tracing efforts to contain the latest Ebola outbreak in Uganda.

The Ministry of Health, through its official Ebola Updates, continues to activate enhanced surveillance, laboratory testing, and public awareness campaigns across affected areas.
Public Health Advisory
Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) is a highly infectious and potentially deadly illness. The Ministry has urged Ugandans to remain vigilant and report any suspected symptoms immediately. Key symptoms include sudden high fever, severe headache and muscle pain, fatigue and weakness, vomiting, diarrhea, and unexplained bleeding.
Ebola prevention tips include avoiding direct contact with bodily fluids of infected persons, practicing regular handwashing with soap, avoiding touching dead bodies of suspected Ebola victims, and seeking immediate medical care if symptoms appear.
