Chief Justice Alfonse Owiny-Dollo has met Buganda Kingdom officials at Bulange, Mengo where he apologized to the kabaka (king) and Baganda over his comments.
On March 31, CJ Owiny-Dollo held a closed door meeting with Buganda Kingdom prime minister (katikkiro) Charles Peter Mayiga.
Also in the meeting was former presidential candidate Olara Otunu clerics such as Archbishop Stephen Kazimba Mugalu, Bishop Anthony Zziwa, Bishop Kakembo, and Buganda Kingdom officials like Twaha Kaawaase, David Mpanga and Patrick Mugumbule.
The kingdom said Owiny-Dollo had apologized over his controversial statements.

The meeting came a few days after Owiny-Dollo apologized to the kabaka and Baganda over controversial comments he recently.
CJ Owiny-Dollo made the comments during a vigil at the home of late speaker Jacob Oulanyah in Muyenga. (Read Story Here).
NUP leader Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine, a Muganda by tribe, told Owiny-Dollo to stop diverting Ugandans from asking the real cause of Oulanyah’s death. (Read Story Here).

In his apology, the chief justice promised to go to Bulange and apologize to the kabaka, Katikkiro and other kingdom officials in person.
