Kenya’s National Police Service (NPS) has announced measures to ensure that the country remains secure ahead of Monday’s Supreme Court ruling on Raila Odinga’s presidential election petition. 

The clock is ticking to Monday’s Supreme Court ruling on Kenya’s 2022 presidential election petition filed by perennial presidential candidate Raila Amolo Odinga and his running mate Martha Wangari Karua challenging the declaration of William Samoei Ruto as the elected fifth president of the Republic of Kenya.

Hours after judges of the Supreme Court of Kenya retreated to file their final judgements in the 2022 presidential election petition, a US-based organization has claimed that it is confident that the highest court in the land will reject Raila Amolo Odinga’s and Martha Wangari Karua’s petition and uphold William Samoei Ruto’s declaration as the fifth president of the Republic of Kenya. 

Chief Justice Martha Koome and her deputy Phimomena Mwilu have asked Kenyans to pray for the Supreme Court bench as the judges retreat to file their judgement for the 2022 presidential election petition. 

Raila Odinga’s and Martha Karua’s lawyers Julie Soweto, Paul Mwangi and their colleagues have today presented evidence to prove their allegations that the 2022 presidential election results were decided by Venezuelan national Camargo  Jose Gregorio Castellanos Carmago and not Wafula Chebukati, the chairperson of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), or even his fellow commissioners.

Lawyers of Raila Amolo Odinga and his 2022 presidential running mate Martha Karua are expected to answer a number of defining and tough questions that will either make or break the five-time presidential candidate. 

Justices of the Supreme Court of Kenya have asked lawyers of respondents William Samoei Ruto and the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) about 30 questions following their defence in a presidential election petition.

A popular prophet accurately predicted the presidential election victory of William Samoei Ruto, the candidate for Kenya Kwanza and United Democratic Alliance (UDA). 

Today I do not want to fully address our strategies going forward but suffice it to note that we will be pursuing ALL CONSTITUTIONAL AND LEGAL OPTIONS available to us.  We will do so because we regard the many flaws in the elections and the wrongs committed by IEBC as FATAL to the process and the outcome announced by Mr. Chebukati.
