National Unity Platform (NUP) President Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine has been shot, reports coming in indicate. Reports indicate that Bobi Wine was shot in the leg.
Eddie Mutwe, a member of Bobi Wine’s security, claimed the NUP leader was shot in Bulindo. Eddie Mutwe claimed that it was Uganda Police Force (UPF) which shot at Bobi Wine in the leg.
“Mr President, Bobi Wine shot in the leg at Bulindo by Police,” wrote Eddie Mutwe.
Minutes later, the administrator of his Bobi Wine’s X account sent out a post confirming the shooting of Bobi Wine in the leg.
The post indicated that the team he was with managed to rush Bobi Wine to hospital for “urgent medical attention.”
“Our President Bobi Wine has been shot in the leg by police in Bulindo! He’s been rushed to hospital for urgent medical attention. We’ll keep the country updated on his situation. ~ Admin,” read the post.
The shooting of Bobi Wine follows three other high profile shootings since last year: that of a former minister, Pastor Aloysius Bugingo and of a Buganda Clan head. (See Details Here, There and Over There).
