Bobi Wine: Muhoozi Will Be Our President if We Don’t Stop ‘This Madness’

Gen Muhoozi Reacts on Bobi Wine's Capitol Hill Engagements REVEALED: More MPs Dumping Bobi Wine to Join Museveni Son Muhoozi Soon – Says Pro-Muhoozi NUP MP Both Bobi Wine & Muhoozi Are the Same, Says Frank Gashumba

National Unity Platform (NUP) leader Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine has told Ugandans to wake up and resist an alleged plot by Gen Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni, Uganda’s President, to crown his son Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba as the country’s next head of state and government.

On Monday, Gen Kainerugaba started a social media war with Kenyans on Twitter (KOT) when he ‘joked’ on his army’s ability to capture Nairobi, the Kenyan capital, within just two weeks.

Hours  later, Gen Museveni summoned his son for a meeting in which the 78-year-old grilled his son who is 48 years or three decades his junior.

In the meeting that happened Tuesday morning, Gen Muhoozi and his father agreed on the way forward: making changes in the command of the Land Forces of the Uganda People’s Defence Forces, the country’s national army.

Operation Shujaa commander Maj Gen Kayanja Muhanga was elevated to the rank of lieutenant general (Lt Gen) and appointed Commander of the UPDF Land Forces, replacing Museveni’s only known son.

But, in a really shocking but expected move, Museveni promoted his son the rank of general, the highest in the country’s army. At just 48, Muhoozi is a full general. (Read Story Here).

It is this promotion that Bobi Wine thinks points to a plot to help Muhoozi ascend to the highest office in the land.

A singer and politician who lost the 2021 presidential election to Gen Museveni, Bobi Wine has predicted that the general from Rwakitura plans to retire his son from the UPDF and crown him as the country’s next president.

Describing the move and the recent happenings as ‘madness,’ Bobi Wine has urged Ugandans to stop this plan.

“After [Monday’s] thoughtless tweets and threats against Kenya, Museveni has rewarded his brutal son with a fresh gift: The rank of full General! He will soon be “retired” as he awaits coronation as head of our country. All people who wish Uganda well must stop being indifferent!” Bobi Wine reacted.

“I appeal to the people of Uganda to muster whatever energy they have and resist this madness. I have previously warned against this and it’s unveiling before our very eyes. We must stop it!”

The NUP leader also urged the international community to sanction and isolate Museveni’s government, a call he has been drumming in the ears of officials in the US and the European Union (EU).

“Let me sound a warning to all governments and international organisations which continue to work with and support Gen. Museveni’s regime of blood – you can see what you have been funding and sustaining all along,” further fumed Kyagulanyi.

“It is time to say enough, because indifference is complicity!I appeal to the world not to look on as Uganda further shrinks into an absolute mess.”

Bobi Wine’s warning also follows Gen Muhoozi’s shocking revelation about a plan for him to take over power from his father Museveni in 2026. (Read Story Here).

A few days ago, Muhoozi said he and his ‘army’ will never allow Bobi Wine to become Uganda’s President. (Read Story Here).

Meanwhile, a celebrated prophet who accurately predicted William Ruto’s presidential election victory has revealed the person God has told him will become Uganda’s next president after Museveni has retired. (Read Story Here).
