National Unity Platform (NUP) leader Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine’s international lawyer Robert Amsterdam wants The Commonwealth of Nations to suspend Uganda over alleged human rights violations.
According to Amsterdam, NUP and Bobi Wine supporters in London, UK should pin images of people he claims have been kidnapped by Uganda’s security agencies.

At least 31 people have been missing for weeks now.
Internal affairs minister Gen Jeje Odongo recently told Parliament security agencies were clueless about the whereabouts of the missing Ugandans.
NUP accuses government of kidnapping its supporters.
Now, Amsterdam wants Ugandans in the UK to push for the suspension of the East African nation from The Commonwealth of Nations.
“We need pictures of the abducted to be posted outside the UK Embassy. We must suspend Uganda from the Commonwealth,” said Amsterdam.
Founded in 1931 by the UK Parliament, the Commonwealth of Nations (or simply the Commonwealth) is a political association of 54 member states, most of them former colonies of the British Empire.
But government spokesperson Ofwono Opondo has told Amsterdam to “chill the idea.”
“It isn’t a good idea trying to punch above your weight,” Opondo told Amsterdam.
