Junior (state) minister for investment and privatisation Evelyn Anite has spoken out her health after she missed the cabinet swearing-in ceremony at Kololo Independence Grounds.
On June 21, several cabinet and junior ministers took oath of office.
But some, including presidency minister Milly Babirye Babalanda, missed the inauguration event.

Anite was one of those who missed the swearing-in ceremony, sparking rumors that she could be critically ill with Covid19.
She has now spoken out on her health condition, assuring Ugandans she was not sick.
“Dear friends, as you are all aware that I went through vetting, did my Covid19 test got a negative, I’m fully vaccinted,” she said.
“However one of my support staff tested positive with covid19 for that reason I shall not be swearing in today.I wish all my colleagues swearing today best of luck.”
She further shared her Covid19 test results, reading she was negative for teh the viral respiratory disease.
