Former Urban TV Sqoop on Sqoop presenter and gossip queen Tina Fierce has blasted Sheila Carol Gashumba for swallowing her pride and accepting a job at NBS TV.
Days ago, Next Media Services unveiled Sheila Gashumba as its new presenter on an already packed After5 crew.
About a year ago, Sheila Gashumba, whose father is the well-connected social critic Frank Gashumba, had sworn she would never return to TV.
She had left NTV Uganda and made it clear she would not return to the screens or airwaves to sweat for Shs50,000 (50K).
“In general, my point is that other jobs are way better than being a TV presenter in Uganda. I’d rather drive an Uber than be known for being a TV presenter with peanuts. Famous but broke, Nah!” Sheila Gashumba said then.
So, when she accepted to be employed at a television station, and not with Uber, Tina Fierce came stinging.
The Gashumba family had previously reported Tina Fierce to media regulator UCC, and consequently led to the downfall of her Sqoop on Sqoop show.
Tina Fierce couldn’t hide her glee feeling as Sheila Gashumba ate her words.
“Mbu 50k. Mbu I will never work for any Ugandan TV again! Bitch humbled down and got a day job! I love to see it. Y’all need to stop going back on the sh*t you say!” Tina Fierce wrote.
