VIDEO: Watch the Moment Canadian Police Arrested Bobi Wine 'Man' Who Nearly Punched Museveni Minister

Kyuma kya Yesu arrested

Police in Canada have arrested a Ugandan man suspected to have nearly punched a minister in President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni’s government.

The man was arrested has been identified as William Ntege, popularly known as Kyuma Kya Yesu.

Kyuma kya Yesu, who is believed to be an activist and supporter of main opposition party National Unity Platform (NUP) and its leader Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine, the singer and politician who contested in the 2021 presidential election but lost to Gen Museveni.

Last week, Kyuma kya Yesu nearly punched Presidency Minister Milly Babirye Babalanda at a Busoga Kingdom symposium held in Canada to attract Basoga to inject their kyeyo money back home so as to develop and drive Busoga out of poverty.

This symposium was even attended by Busoga King Kyabazinga Wilberforce Nadiope Gabula IV.

Kyuma kya Yesu was stopped from beating Minister Babalanda, who hails from Busoga.

It has now emerged that Kyuma kya Yesu has been arrested by Canadian Police.

As police arrested Kyuma kya Yesu, they made it clear to him that he had a right to talk to his lawyer if he had any.

Joy Ruth Acheng, the Ugandan High Commissioner to Canada, praised police for arresting Kyuma kya Yesu. Ambassador Aceng also shared a video showing the moment Kyuma kya Yesu was arrested.

Ambassador Acheng vowed never to keep quiet and allow ‘hooligans’ to tarnish Uganda’s image in Canada.

“We won’t allow you to embarrass Uganda in Canada and create insecurity in peaceful Canada,” said the Ugandan High Commissioner to Canada.

“Paint me anything you want but I won’t allow any lawlessness in the Country I represent my beautiful Uganda, tell all the nasty lies about Uganda but it remains your Country with or without Acheng, Canada allows peaceful demonstrations not hooliganism.”

But reports have since emerged that Kyuma kya Yesu was released about an hour later.
