Edward Ssebuufu, popularly known as Eddie Mutwe, has been remanded to remanded to Murchison Bay Hospital Luzira in Kampala.
Masaka Grade One Magistrate Abdallah Kayiza directed prison authorities to offer Eddie Mutwe specialized medical treatment.
The magistrate also committed Eddie Mutwe to the High Court.
Earlier, Eddie Mutwe told court that he feels his life is going. Eddie Mutwe, the jailed bodyguard to main opposition National Unity Platform (NUP) leader Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine, also said he takes 12 pain killers everyday.
Eddie Mutwe appeared before a court in Masaka where he showed the magistrate torture marks inflicted on him during illegal detention.
Bobi Wine’s bodyguard looked frail. He trembled as he begged the magistrate to give orders for him to find better treatment.
Eddie Mutwe said he felt his life was slowly ebbing away.
“I take 12 pain killers every day. I am dy!ng… I feel I’m dy!ng… If they must cut off my arms, let it be done so that I can get some treatment. I’m dy!ng from pain,” Eddie Mutwe told the magistrate.
Security operatives dropped Eddie Mutwe at Masaka High Court on Monday, May 05, 2025. Eddie Mutwe moved with a limp and could not walk without being supported as he entered the courtroom. Journalists were blocked from covering Eddie Mutwe’s arraignment in court.
Like his colleagues Achileo Kivumbi, Gaddafi Mugumya and Grace Wakabi, other members of Bobi Wine’s security team, Eddie Mutwe faces charges of robbery.
Before Eddie Mutwe was arraigned in court, f irst son and CDF Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba said Eddie Mutwe was in his basement learning Runyankore. Muhoozi even told Bobi Wine, ‘what will you do about it?’ (See Details Here).
Eddie Mutwe also told his lawyer that they beat him with electricity wires (solidos) five times a day and squeezed his pr!v@te p@rts. He also told Bobi Wine that they injected him with a strange drug, as reported Here and There.
Bobi Wine has recently written to Ankole and Kigezi elders telling them to speak against Muhoozi’s actions and trib@l statements, while Gen Mugisha Muntu has warned Museveni, telling him to do something about his son Gen Muhoozi before it is too late. (See Details Here and There).
