Assessment body Uganda National Examinations Board (Uneb) has spoken out on the release of the 2020 Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) and Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) results.
Unlike in previous years, Uneb conducted the 2020 examinations late due to interruptions by a Covid19 lockdown that upset the school calendar.
With examinations done March through May for all levels, Uneb says PLE and UCE results are expected soon.
“We are finalizing the process for the release of the results,” said Uneb spokesperson Jennifer Kalule.
“We are now handling the award process of the PLE and this will be followed by UCE awards next week.Thereafter we hope to have results released soon.”
Examiners familiar with the awards process at Uneb told The Pearl Times News desk they hoped results for PLE could be released as early as next week or the week after.
But, they added, the release of UCE results could take between two weeks and one month after the PLE announcement.
