Politically flip-flopping Ugandan singer Ronald Mayinja has released a song telling President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni that the people have rejected him and that he should leave power.
In a single political season, Mayinja flip-flopped between Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine’s NUP and President Museveni’s NRM.
In the 2021 presidential election, Mayinja released Akalulu Kako Mzee, a campaign song for the 77-year-old long-serving president who has been power since 1986.
Before singing for Museveni, Mayinja was a member of NUP, a political party led by his fellow singer Bobi Wine.
Museveni won the 2021 presidential election but Bobi Wine claimed he was rigged. (Read Story Here).
Now, in a new song titled Abantu Baganye, Mayinja sings that he tried to sell Museveni across the country but Ugandans reportedly told him that they don’t want him.
He goes on to claim that the people have told him that they want Museveni to go home so that they can choose a leader of their choice.
Mayinja equally alleges that supporting Museveni has made Ugandans hate him.
