First son Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba hosted Italian Ambassador to Uganda Massimiliano Mazzanti to dinner at the Special Forces Command (SFC) Officers Club March 19 evening.
Lt Kainerugaba is the SFC commandant and also his father President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni’s senior advisor on special operations.
This was the third time Kainerugaba was meeting Ambassador Mazzanti, who is also Italy’s envoy to Rwanda and Burundi, in a space of two years.
Thus, both the first son and Mazzanti have become friends.
The duo discussed relations between Uganda and Italy.
“Yesterday evening, it was my great pleasure to host my friend, H.E.Mazzanti, the Italian Ambassador at the SFC Officers Club for dinner. I thank H.E. Mazzanti for his true friendship and goodwill for Uganda,” wrote Kainerugaba March 20 morning.
On his part, Mazzanti said: “Dear General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, I wish to thank you for your friendship and leadership ! A very pleasant discussion on so many topics and Uganda-Italy relations.”
