Just a day to Uganda’s January 14 elections, users accessing the internet via MTN and Airtel Uganda networks have reported blocked access.
First to be interfered with were videos, with most people reporting that these media were neither loading nor playing.
Whatsapp calls were also disabled, some users reported.
Also earlier blocked was Playstore.
It was believed this was meant to block VPN access and downloads.
Now, Facebook access seems disabled, if reports by several users are anything to go by.
In the 2016 elections, social media access was blocked.
