Assessment body Uganda National Examinations Board (Uneb) is expected to release the 2022 end of A-level Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) results next week, sources at the Ministry of Education and Sports have said.
UACE results will be the third and last set of results from national examinations that Uneb will release following the successful release of Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) and Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) results for the year 2022.
Parents and guardians as well as teachers of the 97,890 candidates who registered to sit the 2022 UACE examinations at 2,255 Examination Centres across the country have been waiting patiently for the release of the A-level results.
But an official date remains unknown as Uneb has to first brief First Lady and Minister of Education and Sports before the results of 57,177 male candidates (or 58 per cent), and 40,718 female candidates (or about 42 per cent) can be released to the public.
Now, sources have said that the release of the 2022 results was expected on Friday, March 03, 2023, with Uneb officials led by executive secretary (director) Dan Odongo and chairperson Prof Mary Okwakol expected to brief Minister Janet Museveni at State House Nakasero on Wednesday, March 01, 2023.
Uneb is expected to make an official announcement of the UACE 2022 release date some time next week, confirming the day of the week and time as well as venue of the release of the A-level results.
Amidst speculations on the release date, Uneb has told parents, students and schools: “The date for the official release of the results will be communicated at the appropriate time.”
