President Museveni
President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni’s government has quickly cancelled the demon of assassination shortly after Anita Annet Among, the Speaker of the 11th Parliament, claimed she had received reports of a plot to kill her.
Through Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja, who is the leader of government business in the House, government sought to assure Ugandans that the state was in charge of security and that citizens should not worry.
But first, PM Nabbanja sought some spiritual protection. She bound the demon of assassinations.
She also said that the Museveni regime respects the rule of law.
“Right Honorable Speaker and Colleagues, we cancel that demon,” submitted Nabbanja.
“Right Honorable Speaker and colleagues, this government respects the rule of law.”
She then proceeded to assure Ugandans that all those who tamper with Uganda’s security will be crushed.
The Prime Minister also revealed that the issue of abductions and assassinations was being investigated.
“We are always praised for the security of this country and anybody who tampers with the security of this country will be dealt with,” the leader of government business noted.
“And therefore I want to inform colleagues and this House that the government of NRM is present — not absent. We are in charge, these small areas will be addressed and we are investigating the matter.”
Earlier, Speaker Anita Among revealed that some people wanted to kill her, that she had received reports of an assassination plot, and that her vehicle was being trailed by suspected assassins. (Read Story Here).
The assassination plot reports came a day after prime Minister Nabbanja trashed Speaker Among’s directives stopping Nyege Nyege Festival. (Read Story Here).
