Police has recovered human remains, including skulls and suspected animal blood, in an operation at a shrine in Masajja in Makindye Sabagabo.
Kampala Metropolitan Police (KMP) Deputy Spokesperson Luke Owoyesigyire said the Territorial Police at Katwe carried out an intelligence-led operation on February 03, 2023 in Kazinga Masaja Kibira B Village, Masajja Parish in Makindye Sabagabo.
Owoyesigire said police officers recovered suspected human remains, three skulls and a bottle of suspected human or animal blood at the shrine owned and run by Jjaja John Magombe, a known witchdoctor said be 50 years old.
The KMP Deputy Publicist also revealed that the operation was a result of efforts by police’s crime intelligence team which received information that the suspect has been engaging in shady activities in the area.
The exhibits are being analysed while the key suspect, Jajja John Magombe, has been arrested and retained at Katwe Police Station. Magombe’s shrine has also been set ablaze.
“The team has submitted all exhibits to our forensic laboratories for analysis, while the suspect is currently detained at Katwe Police station as investigations into the matter continue,” noted Owoyesigyire.
“After the arrest, members of the public the following day 4th February descended on the shrine and burnt it to the ground at night.”
Meanwhile, still in Katwe policing area, a UPDF officer and a security guard were killed in a bar fight. (See Details Here).
