Kampala Metropolitan Police are probing a fatal incident at Dave Hotel and Suites in Mbubi Zone, Lungujja Parish, Rubaga Division in the capital Kampala where two employees were killed by stabbing on Saturday night.
The victims are Shivani Asasira, 30, hotel manager, and Lawrence Musinguzi, 27, security guard, whose bodies were discovered with neck stab wounds after an assault between 10 pm and 11:30 pm.
Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Racheal Kawala explained the sequence of events.
“Preliminary findings indicate that on February 7, 2026, at about 10 pm, the owner of the business received a call from the manager, Shivani Asasira (now deceased), informing him that she was looking for the hotel’s security guard, Lawrence Musinguzi, but could not locate him and that his phones were switched off,” noted Kawala.
“At about 11:30 pm, the owner attempted to call back the manager, but her phone was also not being answered.”
The hotel owner arrived four hours later and found Asasira and Musinguzi dead in separate rooms.
“It was also established that a motor vehicle, registration number UBH 633M, Toyota Harrier, white in colour, had been stolen by the assailants,” added Kawala.
“The deceased were found in separate rooms, each having sustained stab wounds around the neck area.”
The bodies were taken to Mulago Hospital Mortuary for post‑mortem examinations while the probe continues.
Kawala went on to note that “efforts to identify and arrest the suspects are underway.”
The incident happened days after a popular TikToker was found dead in her apartment in Kyanja, as reported Here.
