Inspector General of Government (IGG) Beti Olive Namisango Kamya Turwomwe has been rushed to hospital in critical condition after experiencing pain in her heart.
IGG Kamya was today, Thursday, May 19, expected to appear before Nakawa West MP Joel Ssenyonyi’s Committee on Commissions, Statutory Authorities and State Enterprises (Cosase).
She was expected to give her side of the story regarding mismanagement of the Uganda Land Commission (ULC), which she supervised in her previous position as Minister of Lands, Housing and Urban Development, before being appointed IGG.
But the committee later learnt that Beti Kamya suddenly experienced excruciating pain in her heart and was rushed to hospital for medical attention.
Cosase chairperson Ssenyonyi is said to have received a message from IGG Kamya’s daughter informing him of her sickness and her inability to appear before the committee.
It should be remembered that IGG Kamya lost her mother a few months ago. (Read Story Here).
