SAD! Ugandan TV Presenter Found Dead in Her Home

Ugandan TV presenter Angella Kabagambe, a familiar face to viewers across western Uganda through her previous work on TV West, has died. Angella Kabagambe also worked with the Uganda Catholic Television (UCTV).

News of Kabagambe’s death emerged on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, triggering an outpouring of grief and tributes from colleagues, friends, former viewers, and members of Uganda’s media fraternity.

The former presenter was found dead in her home, reports indicated. By Wednesday afternoon, authorities and family members had not publicly disclosed the cause of death.

The sudden nature of her passing has left many in shock, particularly in western Uganda where Kabagambe built a strong following during her years on television.

Messages of condolence quickly flooded social media platforms, with many remembering her warm personality, professionalism, and dedication to community service.

Kabagambe rose to prominence through her work at TV West, a Vision Group television station that broadcasts primarily in Runyakitara languages and serves audiences across western Uganda.

During the mid-2010s, she became a household name through her presentation of popular programs including Ndyamusiimanta, Emikoro, and other weekend shows.

Her engaging style and ability to connect with audiences earned her admiration among viewers from Ankole, Kigezi, Tooro, and Bunyoro regions.

Many viewers particularly remember her collaborations with fellow presenters including Brother Keno (Kenneth Kanyesigye), with whom she helped shape some of TV West’s most popular programming.

Beyond television, Kabagambe was known as a storyteller, entrepreneur, Rotarian, and community advocate. She frequently used media platforms to highlight leadership, personal development, faith, and community transformation initiatives.

Following confirmation of her death, TV West issued a tribute in Runyankore-Rukiga language, remembering her contributions to the station and the wider community.

The broadcaster praised Kabagambe’s commitment to teamwork, diligence, and service, while also acknowledging her dedication to Christian values and ministry work.

The station extended condolences to her family and prayed for divine comfort during what it described as a difficult period of mourning.
